Summary
Naveena Wijesekara is an Environmental Scientist at Earth Systems. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Biological Science) degree with honours, Masters in Environmental Science and Post-graduate diploma in Environment and Planning. She is majored in environmental assessment and management.
Since joining Earth Systems, Naveena worked on a number of CDM projects from the Asia Pacific region as well as on Environmental and Social Impacts Assessments (ESIAs). She has developed expertise in the areas of Project Design Document (PDD) development, emissions factor calculations, CDM monitoring plan development and preparation of ESIAs.

Naveena’s recent roles and projects include:
- Conducted emission reduction calculations for the Xeset 2 Hydropower CDM Project in Lao PDR, as well as assisted with PDD writing and the development of CDM Monitoring Plan.
- Assisted in preparing the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for the Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver Project.
- Engaged in various CDM projects such as Branford Mini Hydro Power CDM Project, Nipuna Rice Husk Biomass CDM Project and Kadawala Hydropower CDM Project in Sri Lanka.
- Conducted emission reduction calculations for the Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Study for the Lao Biogas Pilot Program (Lao PDR).
- Assited with the Grande Cote Zircon Project (Senegal).
- Assisted with the Puthep Copper Project (Thailand) Interim Environmental Impact Assessment.
