SITE
ASSESSMENTS
The most cost effective and lasting treatment solutions begin with a
detailed understanding and appreciation of your particular issues and
site. Site Assessments have proven to be a crucial part of the
problem solving process - and have also prevented our customers wasting
many thousands of dollars on ineffective treatment.
A
Site Assessment includes:
Pre site visit telephone discussions, information exchange and
our initial recommendations.
A 2 day visit to your site by one of our mine site water quality
and treatment specialists.
A brief report outlining your water issues, various minimisation
and treatment options, cost estimates and our recommendations.
Site
Assessments are provided at a special low rate to introduce you
to our services.
Contact us to provide an all-inclusive fixed price quote for a Site
Assessment at your site.

CONTRACT
TREATMENT
Emergency
response or routine water treatment is a necessity at many sites. This
often places a significant strain on resources for mining companies,
regulators or water authorities - especially where the treatment expertise
is not available in-house. Achieving the desired water quality outcomes
can be difficult in these circumstances.
Whether it be a SHORT TERM (days/weeks) or LONG TERM (months/years)
contract we can be responsible for:
evaluating and costing your treatment requirements.
conducting the treatment and reaching the desired water quality
goals.
providing verification that the agreed outcomes have been achieved.
The benefits of this approach can include:
Customer control of treatment costs and water quality outcomes
(i.e. supervision, operation, monitoring and discharge) because they
are fixed and agreed under the contract.
No demands on the customer for equipment mobilisation, maintenance,
repair, or site supervision.
Earth Systems can guarantee the achievement of agreed water quality
standards.
A coherent, site-specific treatment strategy is designed, conducted,
supervised and monitored by the same group of environmental engineers
and specialists, providing continuity for the project.
Continual access to Earth Systems expertise and personnel.
The
contract water treatment service comprises three key stages:
1. Site Assessment
As an extension to the services described previously under Site Assessment
we can also provide and take responsibility for:
Water characterisation and assessment of treatment requirements.
Advice on statutory water quality standards and discharge requirements.
Development of a comprehensive treatment and discharge plan in
accordance with your requirements.
Liaison with regulatory authorities, and assistance with the
acquisition of necessary permits or licences.
Preliminary or comprehensive ecological risk appraisal of receiving
environments.
2.
Conduct of Treatment
This can include the provision of:
Suitable treatment technologies
Equipment for reagent storage and delivery equipment.
Treatment and monitoring equipment.
Professional staff with expertise in supervision, monitoring
and field analysis.
Trained and competent operators.
Pumping and piping equipment as required.
Other equipment, personnel and skills as required.
3.
Verification of Performance
This can include:
Provision of automated or manual monitoring and sampling equipment.
Installation of biological monitoring stations in the receiving
environment.
A full report detailing the outcomes of water treatment, including
discharge water quality, receiving water quality and downstream biological
status, and other items as appropriate.

PURCHASE OR LEASE
Purchasing
or leasing a water treatment system is generally cost effective in situations
where ongoing treatment is required and where you have competent staff
to operate and maintain the system. Standard leasing arrangements with
financial agreements and service packages can also be tailored to suit
your needs.
To ensure you are provided with the optimal treatment system and an
appropriate level of technical support, the purchase or lease price
includes the five components listed below.
1. Site Assessment
As described previously but included in the purchase/lease price.
2. Supply of Equipment
Earth Systems will supply a Treatment System that requires minimal or
no assembly work prior to deployment. Systems are configured to suit
your specific requirements as determined during the site assessment.
Earth Systems provides a 1 year warranty (with a 1 year extension, see
First Annual Service) on all materials and workmanship for any assembly
faults, and a manufacturer's warranty on third party components.
3. Training and Commissioning
A comprehensive on-site training and commissioning program is provided
for your operators and supervisors. This ensures successful deployment,
operation and maintenance of your water treatment system. This hands-on
advice is provided by an expert in the operation and deployment of various
water treatment systems (including our proprietary Neutra-Mill Water
Treatment Systems) and complements the manual supplied with each system.
4. Lifetime Technical Support
We provide free ongoing telephone/fax/email technical and product support
for the life of your Water Treatment System. Additional technical support
and water quality management services can be provided to suit specific
needs.
5.
First Annual Service (Optional)
You also have the option of including the first annual service of your
system in the purchase price. When this first Annual Maintenance and
Improvement Service is successfully completed, via this option, you
receive a 1 year warranty extension on your system.

details.

ANNUAL MAINTENANCE & IMPROVEMENT SERVICE
We
recommend annual servicing of your Water
Treatment System by one of our specialists. The benefits are
significantly improved performance, minimal reagent wastage, reduced
operating and maintenance costs, and improved operator skills.
This service involves:
Thoroughly checking the system for worn or damaged components.
Identifying any parts that require replacement.
Reviewing the equipment for potential occupational health and
safety issues.
Assessing the system to ensure that it is operating at optimum
efficiency.
As part of the service we will:
Conduct any repairs or adjustments required (either onsite or
in conjunction with your workshop personnel).
Provide a quote or arrange delivery of any parts requiring replacement.
In addition we will:
Provide further training for your operating personnel.
Identify any modifications to operating procedures that can improve
the effectiveness of water treatment on your site.
At the completion of the service a report is provided on the state of
the equipment covering the issues outlined above.
For the First Annual Service you receive the services listed above and
also, when and if all the required maintenance is carried out successfully,
the warranty of the system will be extended by 1 year.
Any additional requirements can also be included in the one simple contract.
Contact us for more
details.
